We are delighted to announce that the 2012 Southern Indiana Classic Marathon, ½ Marathon and 8k (and accompanying SIC SLAM festival) will be a military appreciation event, giving all proceeds to
Rolling Thunder, Inc.
Rolling Thunder, Inc’s mission is:
“To Correct the Past and Protect the Future.”
Rolling Thunder ® Inc.’s major function is to publicize the POW/MIA issue, to educate the public of the fact that many American prisoners of war were left behind after all past wars, to help correct the past and to protect future veterans from being left behind should they become prisoners of war-missing in action. They are committed to helping disabled veterans from all wars, and all five military branches across the United States of America.
Please join us in showing our appreciation for this country’s brave men and women who currently serve in the military, or have in the past, by attending the 2012 Southern Indiana Classic Marathon, ½ Marathon and 8k and accompanying SIC SLAM festival. We will have a beautiful display of assets from the tri-state’s military branch locations and special pre-race and post-race ceremonies to honor those who have sacrificed so much so that we can have freedom every day of our lives in the U.S.
As a small token of our appreciation to the nation’s military, we are delighted to offer a Military appreciation discount (for current and veterans): it is our pleasure to offer qualified individuals $10 off the SIC 8k, $15 off of the 1/2 Marathon, and $25 off of the Full Marathon price as a small token of our appreciation for the sacrifice you have made to protect the freedoms of this nation’s residents!
Also, all current and past military will receive free entry into the SIC SLAM festival on April 13 and 14, 2012, (a $5 value), so gather a group and join us at this military appreciation festival, taking place the week after Easter, 2012.
