This year’s SIC Marathon, ½ Marathon and 8k (new this year!) will take place at 7 am on April 14, 2012 at the Vanderburgh County 4H Center. The only Boston qualifier event in Southern Indiana (and part of the Indiana Distance Runners Series), this event offers a course comparable to the elevation of THE Boston Marathon, with rolling hills throughout! Following the entertainment-packed event, the “SIC” SLAM awaits participants, fans and folks from the community alike! You won’t believe all the free food, drink, entertainment and Budweiser that awaits you after you accomplish your feat! All proceeds this year will be going to Rolling Thunder, Inc. Rolling Thunder, Inc. is an organization that works to reduce the POW and MIA count of our nation’s brave military, while showing their support of wounded soldiers and veterans. We are thrilled to be working with this amazing organization for the third year in a row, while showing gratitude towards our nation’s armed forces and all they have done to maintain our country’s freedom and protection.
