SIC SLAM + Bierstube = Fun for everyone in your Family!

The SIC SLAM is a two-day festival on April 13 and 14th, 2012, accompanying the schedule of events that surround the Southern Indiana Classic Marathon, 1/2 Marathon and 8k at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Center. During packet pickup for the race participants on Friday, April 13 4-11pm, and race day, Saturday April 14, 7:30am- 2:45pm, the entire community is invited to join the participants to this all you can eat and drink (of non-alcoholic beverages) military appreciation festival. Live entertainment, Budweiser and Michelob Ultra bierstubes, free food and drink booths, 5 huge bouncy houses for the kids, and dozens of attractions are all enclosed within a 12,000 + sq. foot snow-fenced area. Entry into the SIC SLAM costs $5 per person, and is free for race participants and all military. The past two years of the SIC, we have had more than 10,000 fans, participants, and tri-state residents attend this festival, taking place on a Sunday morning and afternoon, in the past. This “party in the park” has been reviewed as one of the largest in the country, in association with a marathon, and is quickly becoming a major reason for participants to choose the SIC as their spring endurance event. All tents and layouts are set up by T.R.U. Event Rental for a truly spectacular presentation for sponsors and festivities, alike. We hope you and your family will join us at this exciting Spring celebration, where “Never Been Caught” will perform on Friday evening, and the “Dominos” will perform on Saturday morning!
